I said that I had come across a blog, I supported it with a link, and embedded a video which I found on said blog.

It worked for a bit, and then all of a sudden the video was blocked with a cute little message “Embedding disabled by request.”

If you go back to said blog you’re still able to watch the video. Which means that this blogger decided not to share the video. Where’s the love?

Well I was subscribed to said blog and decided to unsubscribe. Why would I waste my time on your blog when you’re that type of person?

I wasn’t stealing content, I said check out this blog that I came across – I believe my husband would call this a ‘tweet’ even though I didn’t use twitter.

Two can play that game, my friend. You just lost a reader.

PS, your blog wasn’t all that great anyways. Kinda creepy and stalker-esque.

I don’t buy magazines but my husband thought that he’d surprise me with the newest Rob Pattinson story.

Maybe I’m devoted to Rob (and my husband) but I just thought the article was extremely distasteful.

First, Rob is on the cover of the magazine with a headline saying “Twilight Fight!”

It has bullets:
- Things get physical on New Moon
- Robert’s jealous of his new co-stars
- Kristen’s late nights with Taylor
- Robert speaks out on nasty rumors

So then I go to the table of contents page and again there is a big picture of Rob with a title “Rob gets replaced” along with the page number.

So I flip to the article. It’s a tiny article as well. It’s four pages, but this is all pictures and very few words… and what appears to be NO FACT whatsoever.

It talks about how Robert is jealous of the other New Moon actors. The new wolf pack is hot and they are capable of performing their own stunts.

Rob is jealous because they are getting all the attention and he is athletically challenged, whilst they are not.

The article also states that Rob said “I started crying when people were screaming at me.” Does that sound like a guy who’d be jealous that Taylor was now getting the screams? Totally contradictory!

It says that he’s jealous that he’s not the centre of attention. It says he is jealous of Kristen Stewart’s relationship with Taylor.

It also said that Kristen is possessive of Taylor and when girls scream at him, she gives them the evil eye.

It talks about the poor hygiene rumor and how Rob insists that he showers.

The article also says that Kellan Lutz is the HOT Cullen because Ryan Seacrest says so.

And the worst part is that apparently the cast and Robert’s friends are saying that his Twilight success is short-lived.

So I’m pissed. I read Rob Pattinson’s biography. I feel I know a bit about him and want to come to his defence.

First, he didn’t do Twilight for fame. He took the part thinking it was going to be a small, low budget film and just something else he could put on his résumé. He had no idea the success that would come from it and isn’t all together ready for the fame and popularity.

He doesn’t deny that he is ‘athletically challenged’ – but he is so not the jealous type. I just can’t see him crying over the fact that the other boys can do it, but he can’t.

He works really hard to portray the character and goes above and beyond to deliver.

As for Kellan Lutz, there was a comment in the article saying that Kellan said that Rob “does this thing when he’s really shy, he lowers his head and the girls love it.”

This could very well be true but Kellan does not say that Rob does this for the sole purpose of driving the girls wild. But yet that’s what the article claims.

Kellan is hot. No question. But Rob was hired for the role of Edward because of his angular looks, his uniquness. Something he has that is beautiful, different, and scary as hell. The role of Edward had to be more than just good looks, otherwise I’m sure Kellan could have done it.

And because Ryan Seacrest publicly announces that Kellan is the hotter of the two, that means that’s the general concensus?

That pissed me off too.

And the whole thing wth Kristen is ridiculous. She has a boyfriend. It’s not Taylor, and it’s not Rob.
Does it matter that she is seen in public with them? No, of course not. She’s making a movie with them for crying out loud.

And we all know that Edward is not the main hottie in New Moon. This movie is about the wolf pack. Edward doesn’t have that many scenes and he’s already confessed to this.

I guess the biggest thing that pisses me off is the fact that Rob Pattinson is on the cover of the magazine. So you put the guy on the cover and write slanderous things about him?

Come on Life&Style, this edition is what cottage-town would pile in with the ’rag-mags’

I’d like to read the next article quoting UFO sitings…

It’s the making of the movie based on the book that is now referred to as “The Twilight Phenomenon.”

It’s a small hardcover book that is written in the style of a scrapbook, including photos of the set, scenery, cast and crew, news clippings, sketches done both by the storyboard artist and Catherine Hardwicke herself, and tons of side notes and facts.

You get to learn all the dirty little secrets of the director and how she made this movie come alive.

It’s very similar to the “Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion” in it’s sense of technical style and photos. The difference is that the Movie Companion is physically bigger and thus the photos are much more distinct, but on the negative side, it’s far more detailed from a technical perspective. Unless you’re in the movie business, it’s just a bunch of boring jargon. See the review here:

http://justkickinit.ca/2008/12/31/twilight-movie-companion-by-mark-cotta-vaz/

In this way, I prefer the Director’s Notebook. Hardwicke tones down all the technical aspect leaving in only what’s necessary. Plus, there is something better about reading it directly from the director’s mouth.

All of the words are written in “hand-writing” and at times I find it illegible. I had to take breaks otherwise my eyes would get a bit sore from struggling to read. It’s very unique to anything I’ve ever read before, and I liked the difference. It just took some adjusting.

I’d recommend this book to all the Twilighters out there. You just can’t go wrong!
If you have to choose between the Companion and the Notebook, I’d choose the Notebook. It’s got a lot of the same information and pictures so you’re not missing anything.

If you’re only looking for the pictures, choose the Companion – bigger is better, right?

I’m still happy with the online store and I think I will just stick to that from now on.

I cannot believe how much more expensive it is in store versus online.

I went to the store today to see if I could return my damaged vampire kit which they sent me via mail order.

I forgot the actual kit to exchange but figured I would check out the store first because if they didn’t have any to exchange it with then there was no point to me bringing my damaged one in.

While I was in the store I came across a Rob Pattinson book. It’s very nice, good pics and bio and what not, but honestly, it’s only a little bit thicker than the average magazine.

It is $22 in store. Then I go to HMV and see the same book for $19. So I want to know why it costs me less money in a MUSIC store to buy a book then it does to buy a book in a BOOK store?

I bought it at HMV.

I went back to the office and checked it out on Chapters-Online just to see what the value is. Here it says $16.72.

This is not including my discount. Clearly the best deal is Chapters Online, but that’s only providing that I’m getting an order with a minimum of $39 for free shipping. If not, then shipping brings it back up to be more expensive than the store itself.

I’m sticking with the HMV purchase here just to make a point. I know that Chapters only lost $22 of my business by me purchasing this elsewhere, but I like to think it’s dramatic.

Also, when I was in this Chapters I came across two rubber bracelets being sold together in a package with no price tag. One bracelet says Twilight with a little apple charm, the other bracelet says “I’m in love with a fictional character”

I bought these exact same bracelets from this exact same store about 6 months ago. I’m pretty sure it was the exact same staff member who sold it to me too. I see this guy all the time.

The only difference is that where this bracelet said “i’m in love with a fictional character” mine said “team edward” other than that – the same.

My bracelets 6 months ago cost $3.95. These ones (after I went to the cashier to ring them up) cost over $10!

Are you kidding me? The price went up by 300% in six months??? These things are rubber!

The charm bracelets and edward watches are pretty dinky too and they are $30 each.

I am just not willing to fork out that much money.

I realize it could be Summit trying to rip us off and not Chapters, but i think i was irritated in chapters because when i said “oh no thank you, not for $10″ to the cashier, he just tossed them aside and yelled “next” for the next customer.

I honestly felt like my business didn’t matter. Especially since this guy knows i drop $75 every time i’m in there at least

I know it’s my own fault for wanting everything Twilight but is it really necessary for Summit to do that? They know the fans are generally minors, if they made it cheaper, i bet they’d sell way more.

The watch is $30 and looks like it came from the gumball machine for crying out loud!

I don’t mind wearing gumball machine worthy jewellry but i sure as hell don’t want to pay $30 for it.

It is a behind the scenes look at how the movie was made.

If you are not interested in the movie business, or Twilight in general than this is clearly NOT the book for you. I, on the other hand, found it very interesting to see just how many people it takes to do certain tasks. Because there are so many jobs involved, from this point on I will refer to each person as ‘the crew’, this way I do not confuse any job titles and accidentally offend anyone.

No one ever assumes that making a movie is easy, but when it seems that everything is against you to start with, it’s far more complex. The entire cast and crew had to work with the weather. The movie takes place in a small town called Forks, which is the cloudiest place in the Continental U.S. and is probably known best for it’s rain. The crew found a place resembling Forks in New Jersey and filmed most of the movie there. They had to deal with hailstorms and other severe weather conditions, but as they say in showbiz – the show must go on.

To be honest, I didn’t understand a lot of the language, or maybe it just didn’t interest me for long enough to retain anything. I started reading this book before the movie came out and I loved to look at the pictures but other than that, the information was lost on me. Then I saw the movie and things made more sense.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a future in the movie industry AND likes the Twilight movie. Or perhaps like me, a collector of all things Twilight, the pictures are enough to get you by.

So this post is merely to vent out my frustrations on the Twilight phenomenon. I have to say that I fell victim (like many people out there) to Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. It didn’t take me long to read all four books in the series, buy all the collectibles, and anticipate the up and coming motion picture. I find myself joining Twilight communities, meeting new Twilighters, googling new information, and youtubing new clips and trailers and things.

I am all for people making comic book scenes, drawings to music, or pictures in slide show format. I think it’s great that people are as passionate as I am, more creative, and are willing to share their work. But alas, here is where I start venting. If you put together a slide show of pictures of a movie (Twilight) to a song (any song of your choice, but say one that’s in Twilight also for argument sake) then please do NOT add pictures of other movies.

Rob Pattinson plays Edward Cullen in Twilight. Fabulous. He also played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series. Equally fabulous. Putting a slide show together called “Twilight”, featuring music in Twilight, with clips of Edward and the other characters, is excellent… Throwing in random shots of Cedric – well now that is just a slap in the face.

Cedric Diggory does NOT equal Edward Cullen. Yes, they were both done by Rob Pattinson but really folks they’re different. If you want to put together a slide show of Harry Potter vs Twilight, by all means – but at least label it accordingly.

And another thing – amateur spoof films – they are not remotely funny and no one is interested. You want to make that on your spare time, go right on ahead – don’t waste my time by posting things like that on the Internet. They only get hits because of how it’s labelled and people are royally disappointed with what they see… disappointment followed by venomous rage.

This is the story of a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire. It’s not your typical vampire story, there is no gore, no sharp teeth, and very little blood.

Despite that, this book has it all! It gets your heart racing with all of the twists and turns that one novel can manage.

Isabella (Bella) Swan is an average, plain, boring, teenage girl who moves back to a small town to live with her single father. On her first day in high school, while trying not to be noticed, Bella comes across a very different family. More specifically, she sees a beautifully unique boy. His name is Edward Cullen and she is drawn to him.

It’s not long before the two become friends and she learns his deepest, darkest secrets. She should be afraid, and he reminds her time and time again that it’s in her best interest to stay away. But she can’t. There is a connection between the two that cannot be denied, and they fall in love.

He tries to be human, and she tries to fit in with his vampire family. But trouble follows her everywhere. She has many near-death experiences. How long can this vampire put his love before his thirst for her blood?

I recommend this book to any female. I’m not certain this is a book for guys. It might be, but I think it depends on their interest. If you’re expecting horror and gore than look elsewhere. If you’re ok with danger and suspense then look no further!

The reason I recommend this to the girls is because it’s a true love story. You know in high school when the average girl and the hot guy start dating? Or when the quiet, straight-A -student girl meets the dangerous, rebellious guy and wants to enter his world but be safe at the same time? OK so maybe it only happens in movies, but every time it does, our female heart flutters away, and you can’t help but blush as you secretly wish it was you.

This novel is quite the page-turner. I finished it in less than three days, and I am a very slow reader. Believe me, I couldn’t put it down!
