As I always say, I have been super busy these last few months. First off, I’ve been working two jobs for my company and have barely a chance to breathe. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed though, I have been given a new title, a new desk, a new computer and a new phone.

It’s finally slowing down, and the work is steady. No more stress there. Life is good. Now I have a chance to catch up on some personal things.

So, my weekend. On Friday night, I went to see New Moon again (this is now the third time). A friend and I went hoping that the crowds wouldn’t be as bad as they were that first night. At least this time, we sat in the back row, so there was no one behind us kicking our chairs and repeating “what did she just say?” over and over again. The girl in front of us, however, was constantly on her cell phone, having no respect for anyone else in the theatre. Why pay that much money to see a movie to ruin it by sending text messages throughout the whole thing?

Saturday, the husband and I cleaned house. Literally. Every single nook and cranny, whatever that means, was washed and sprayed with chemicals galore. Our house smells like a rain forest now. We also decluttered. I got out all of the Christmas decorations as well. The tree is up but not decorated yet. We’ll do that throughout the week or next weekend. This weekend coming up, we are going on a trip. I’m sure I’ll blog about that one later.

Yesterday, mostly I just took care of my husband who unfortunately came down with a bug. He slept pretty well all day. Oh and I spent about $200 on groceries because that’s how long it’s been since we had decent food in the house.

My weekend was very productive, how about yours?

You know what really grinds my gears – Life & Style magazine.

I don’t buy magazines but my husband thought that he’d surprise me with the newest Rob Pattinson story.

Maybe I’m devoted to Rob (and my husband) but I just thought the article was extremely distasteful.

First, Rob is on the cover of the magazine with a headline saying “Twilight Fight!”

It has bullets:
- Things get physical on New Moon
- Robert’s jealous of his new co-stars
- Kristen’s late nights with Taylor
- Robert speaks out on nasty rumors

So then I go to the table of contents page and again there is a big picture of Rob with a title “Rob gets replaced” along with the page number.

So I flip to the article. It’s a tiny article as well. It’s four pages, but this is all pictures and very few words… and what appears to be NO FACT whatsoever.

It talks about how Robert is jealous of the other New Moon actors. The new wolf pack is hot and they are capable of performing their own stunts.

Rob is jealous because they are getting all the attention and he is athletically challenged, whilst they are not.

The article also states that Rob said “I started crying when people were screaming at me.” Does that sound like a guy who’d be jealous that Taylor was now getting the screams? Totally contradictory!

It says that he’s jealous that he’s not the centre of attention. It says he is jealous of Kristen Stewart’s relationship with Taylor.

It also said that Kristen is possessive of Taylor and when girls scream at him, she gives them the evil eye.

It talks about the poor hygiene rumor and how Rob insists that he showers.

The article also says that Kellan Lutz is the HOT Cullen because Ryan Seacrest says so.

And the worst part is that apparently the cast and Robert’s friends are saying that his Twilight success is short-lived.

So I’m pissed. I read Rob Pattinson’s biography. I feel I know a bit about him and want to come to his defence.

First, he didn’t do Twilight for fame. He took the part thinking it was going to be a small, low budget film and just something else he could put on his résumé. He had no idea the success that would come from it and isn’t all together ready for the fame and popularity.

He doesn’t deny that he is ‘athletically challenged’ – but he is so not the jealous type. I just can’t see him crying over the fact that the other boys can do it, but he can’t.

He works really hard to portray the character and goes above and beyond to deliver.

As for Kellan Lutz, there was a comment in the article saying that Kellan said that Rob “does this thing when he’s really shy, he lowers his head and the girls love it.”

This could very well be true but Kellan does not say that Rob does this for the sole purpose of driving the girls wild. But yet that’s what the article claims.

Kellan is hot. No question. But Rob was hired for the role of Edward because of his angular looks, his uniquness. Something he has that is beautiful, different, and scary as hell. The role of Edward had to be more than just good looks, otherwise I’m sure Kellan could have done it.

And because Ryan Seacrest publicly announces that Kellan is the hotter of the two, that means that’s the general concensus?

That pissed me off too.

And the whole thing wth Kristen is ridiculous. She has a boyfriend. It’s not Taylor, and it’s not Rob.
Does it matter that she is seen in public with them? No, of course not. She’s making a movie with them for crying out loud.

And we all know that Edward is not the main hottie in New Moon. This movie is about the wolf pack. Edward doesn’t have that many scenes and he’s already confessed to this.

I guess the biggest thing that pisses me off is the fact that Rob Pattinson is on the cover of the magazine. So you put the guy on the cover and write slanderous things about him?

Come on Life&Style, this edition is what cottage-town would pile in with the ’rag-mags’

I’d like to read the next article quoting UFO sitings…

New Moon is part two of the Twilight Saga.  The entire series is the epic love story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. In the first book we saw how they became a couple and the goals they had to achieve to stay a couple.

In book two, your heart breaks as Edward decides to part ways from Bella. This story is how she copes with the loss of her love. She loses many friends as she tries to accept the world without Edward and she can’t seem to fill the void that he’s left behind.

She meets with her old friend Jacob Black, who helps her through her dark days. Their relationship grows and the bond strengthens but in her heart Bella knows she cannot replace her soul mate. It’s not long before Jacob leaves Bella to join a cult-like gang. Now she is left to cope with a new loss as the two men weave in and out of her life – mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Personally, I found this one a little harder to get into, but once I was in – I was hooked. Be patient with this novel and you’ll see it is just as exciting as the first. You learn about other mythical beings and that no matter what species you are, love will conquer all.

I loved learning about Jacob Black and found that my heart ached with Bella’s the closer she got to him. But I did find one flaw with this story. Although Meyer explains why Bella is able to hear Edward’s voice so clearly as she approaches danger, it doesn’t explain why she knew what to do when she was stuck in between a thirsty vampire and a ‘grizzly bear.’ Personally, I expected more from this. There is no way her instincts would guide her through that, so something is missing in Meyer’s description.

If you can deal with 200-400 pages of heart-ache for a ‘happy ending’ please give this book a shot – flawed or not, I loved it!
