Word of the Day – Ilk

So this is a word my husband uses often. Basically, in my own definition it means “sort” or “kind.” He usually gives a couple of options and then follows it with “something of that ilk.”

But I decided to hit the “I’m feeling lucky” button on Google anyways, and here’s what came up:

I had to paste it as a picture because really, I can’t type all that. What a horrible example that is “i.e., Ross of Ross.” Oh, now that makes plenty sense. PFFT!

As always, some random Google images tagged with “ilk.”

What the f**k?

Roger and all his ilk will see you at Word on the Street. WOW…. is that a substitute for the Heimlick maneuver. If so, I will be eating more slowly now.
