I swear!
Last week I had my shopping excursions trying to find the perfect outfit and all accessories. When that was accomplished, I had a ladies movie night out, which was a lot of fun.
Friday night we dropped the dogs off at my mom’s and made our way out to Ottawa. Loved it! The train ride was pleasant, the hotel was awesome, I met a lot of cool people, ate lots of good food, and enjoyed the first snowfall of the year.
I looked awesome in my dress and got a few pictures. I met some famous people and had a glass of wine back in their hotel room. Yes, my husband was there too, it was a wonderful last night there. I bet it was my sense of style that got us in that room, haha!
Special shout out to Steph1186 and Rogey Pogey for babysitting me while my husband was speaking at a conference. I can’t wait to see you again! We can share empire biscuits, and trade stories about our escalator woes. PS, I got that book I was looking for – 34% off online so it was a good call on waiting! Oh, and it was the author of said book who we shared wine with back at the hotel. I’m sure I can get an autograph.

Alright, back to the rest. The best part of the hotel, by far was the king size bed. I need to invest in one of those in the near future. A close second would be the hot water. I had the longest shower ever, and the water stayed hot. It just needed a big spa bathtub and I would have stayed in there a lot longer. A whole day, maybe!
I also experienced one of the best pieces of cheesecake I’ve ever had. I described it as “orgasmic” and haven’t been forgiven for that yet. Seems it’s the butt of every joke now. Oh well, I’d say it again for another piece!
The train ride back was interesting. Smith Falls and Kingston were hit with some snowstorms. I’ll have my hubby put up some photos later. We listened to a child read out loud to her grandmother. Children’s books these days seem very erotic. Thankfully, this was the tail end of the journey and we didn’t hear the outcome of that story.
Tuesday was my birthday, and for special reasons this was by far the best birthday ever. The only thing that was missing was chocolate cake. And my sisters. But there are no phones or Internet connections in Hell, I’m told. They’ll be out of there soon, and all will be right in the world.
Last night I finally got a break. So naturally, I sat down and watched Christmas movies.
Hope all is well with you, and keep busy! The days seem to fly by that way.
