Well, I posted one book review, but didn’t have time to read the other book so there are no more reviews coming any time soon.
I did however, learn to knit. How exciting is that? I completed two samplers and fully understand the “knit” stitch and the “purl” stitch. Next weekend I’m going to start knitting a blanket. I have no idea how successful I’ll be, or how long it will take, but I’m going to give it my all.
This counts as a random post, so, so far, I’m sticking to my word on my plans for this weekend. I fell short on a book because yesterday my husband and I went shopping. That wasn’t part of the original plan, but it was uber fun.
We went to Best Buy, and picked out all sorts of gadgets that are on the “plan to buy” list. My husband bought me a very cute IPod Nano.
So now it needs a docking station. We tested this one, and it was awesome, but it doesn’t match my IPod.
This one does. We’ll see if he’ll cave and buy me the matching one.
Perhaps he will, if I buy him the IPod Touch that he wants.
We also looked at laptops. My husband likes the Macbooks.
I like the Sony VAIO, mostly for it’s pretty colour choices.
Of course, we looked at TVs.
And with that we’ll need a home theatre system and Blu-ray player.
I’d like to get a Nintendo Wii. It’s pretty much the only Nintendo game console that we don’t already own.
With the Wii, we’ll need some games.
Oh! And I scoped out the karaoke machines, and I’m pretty sure I’ll get one for Christmas. How freaking cool would it be to sing out your favourite tracks of the 80s?
The system I liked was also a CD player, so you could put any CD you want in, and it would give the lyrics on your TV for you to sing along. I’d like to test it out. I wonder if the machine will do what I do, and just make up what the lyrics sound like and not what they really are.
Similar to what they’ve done with the subtitles in the following song. My buddy, Pixie, will get a kick out of this. She always does.
