A couple of years ago, my husband and I went to see the band that brought us together, Dashboard Confessional.
Being one of the more intimate shows, we got the opportunity to meet a few other bands as well. I have to say that I was absolutely FLOORED with Augustana. You may or may not have heard of the song Boston.
At the concert, Dan Layus (Augustana front man) played this song solo, despite his cold. I cannot emphasize enough how mesmorized I was. It’s utterly beautiful. Although there were hundreds of us in the room, it really only seemed like one man and a piano.
The rest of the set did not pale in comparison either. The night as a whole was one of my top ten most memorable experiences. If you get an opportunity to see Augustana, you will not be disappointed.
