I have to tell you about my super awesome weekend. I got all my errands and shopping done on Saturday and threw a BBQ on Sunday.
All morning it rained and just before everyone arrived the sky cleared and the sun came out and it was wonderful. I guess the morning sun dances paid off!
I can’t emphasize how well everything turned out. It was so much fun having all my family and a good chunk of friends all in the same place just having a great time and delicious food.
My husband even whipped out his chef’s hat and apron and rocked the barbeque all afternoon. My mother made sure everyone got the tour, I made sure the table was stocked, and my cousin made sure all the animals got treats. Thanks Hope!
It’s amazing how great life is when you cut out the drama and the scum. Not one person instigated a fight, gave a dirty look, or threw an insult. The way life should be.
When the BBQ was over a few people stayed behind and we put together the BEST rock band ever. Meet “Mutton Chops and the Chics” though at some point we lost Mutton Chops and we just became a generic chic band, but we rocked it regardless.
Have to give a shout out here to Stephy who was able to play every instrument and SANG, not sing, SANG. The drums aren’t easy, just ask Adam Bloody Wilson who had to bow out gracefully and get back on the bass. OK it wasn’t gracefully, I kicked him off ha-ha. Sorry Adam, but come over any time and practice and we’ll put you back on.
Mike, well I can’t talk about Mutton Chops and the Chics without mentioning Mutton Chops himself.
I had a blast and you all are welcome back any time. Perhaps I’ll invite everyone back and we’ll put on a rock show. Don’t worry Danny, you can sing back up… or we’ll find you a tambourine.
Thanks again to everyone who attended. It was the best non-rainy day of the summer!
