This is an erotic novel about Nora Buckley. Nora is a woman approaching 50, who has never been anything more than a wife and mother. She got married to Jeff Buckley just after college graduation and not long after gave birth to two kids, Jill and J.J.
Jill is about to start law school and J.J. has just finished high school and will soon be headed off to college as well. Jeff Buckley has announced to Nora that he no longer wants to be married.
Nora is no fool, and realizes that he is leaving her for a younger woman. Although Jeff is wealthy, his plan is to leave Nora with absolutely nothing after 25 years of marriage. Nora must come up with a plan to stay in her house and start her life fresh. She turns to her neighbours and long time friends.
They introduce her to the world’s best kept secret, The Channel. A place where all your fantasies come true. It’s not long before Nora is swept away into an erotic adventure, an escape from her brutal reality. She gets everything her heart desires, but at what cost?
This is the first full length erotic novel that I have ever read. It was a refreshing change of scenery for me, and it was definitely well written.
It’s got a great story to it and the eroticism is just an added bonus. You become attached to each character for different reasons. You fight for Nora as she struggles a losing battle in the divorce against the world’s worst husband.
The further you read, the more you hate Jeff Buckley, and love every one of the neighbours for all of their faith and support in Nora.
How far is Nora willing to go to get what she deserves in the divorce?
This book is definitely worth the read, and brings a bit of excitement as well.
I will be reading the rest of the “Pleasure Series” and am happy to know that they can be read in no particular order. They are four separate stories revolving around the mysterious ‘Channel.’
