Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine

morganville-3This is the third book in the Morganville Vampire series. It’s more of the same, but yet different enough to keep you on your toes and flipping pages.

Claire is summoned by Amelie and is given her first task as “Amelie’s pet.” It doesn’t seem so strange or impossible, she is only assigned more homework and harder classes. She is also to become the apprentice of Myrnin, a shady old vampire who is smart beyond his years, but sick and delusional as well.

Every minute that Claire spends with Myrnin she risks her life, but she learns so much more about both human and vampire evolution. She unknowingly becomes a great asset to Amelie.

Monica decides to befriend Claire, which is not all that surprising given Claire’s new status in the vampire community.

This third book has more deaths and near-death experiences than the rest of the series combined! Throw in another bad-ass party and welcome to Morganville.

Another great read.

Good review as usual. Favorite caracter for me as to be Myrnin. Funny and sweet and dark as hell. He would feel bad about ripping you to pieces but would still smile while doing it.
