but then the irewards yearly booklet promotes in-store shopping but the discounts just aren't worth it

there is just so much to rant about but i have to be in a mood i guess (which will be coming very soon i think)

but i don't want to be known as the girl who complains about everything, even though my complaints are legitimate (so i say)

I used to work there. Trust me, it's all Heather. Just wait until you have kids and they want those adorable little costumes/action figures/Thomas the Tank Engine train sets. I'm talking over $50 for a single train piece, and over $300 for the track set!

They put signs up in the store encouraging customers to shop online so that they can justify employing less people (at wages so low, it should be criminal!), all the while accusing them of stealing from the store with a shiny new poster in the staff room each month.

I'm sure that the person who cast you aside at the checkout is a very nice person and didn't mean to take his disdain for his job out on you, and on behalf of booksellers who actually love books and customers, I'm really sorry it came to that. Maybe he had a particularly hard day with a manager who was treating him like a five-year-old and a convicted felon, simultaneously.

Also, I'm glad to be back around these parts. Got a little sidetracked for a while there. Please keep your rants comin'! I absolutely love them…
